Le mercredi 2 mars 2016, la Composante Air belge célébrait le passage des 58.000 heures de vol pour sa flotte d'hélicoptères Sea King. Un petit événement était organisé sur la base aérienne de Coxyde. L'année 2016 verra également célébrer le quarantième anniversaire de la mise en service du Westland Sea King Mk 48 au sein de la 40e escadrille.

On Wednesday 2 March 2016, the Belgian Air Component celebrated the 58.000 flight hours of the Sea King helicopters fleet. A small event has been organized on the Coxyde air base. Forty years ago, the Westland Sea King Mk 48 entered into service with the 40 Squadron. So this year 2016 will be a noticeable jubilee.
